Elevator Pitch lets you publish a video resume: short clips of you talking about your experience, alongside your written resume, at one link you choose. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and what you control.
What we store
- Your account: your email address and a securely stored (hashed) password. We never see or store your password itself.
- What you add to your page: your name, headline, location, contact email, LinkedIn link, about text, skills, education, resume entries and an optional resume PDF. We also keep your field (like Finance or Design), which our AI suggests from your page and you can change.
- Your videos: the clips you record or upload, plus captions generated automatically from their audio.
- Your intro video: the script and character description our AI writes for your animated intro video, and its AI voiceover in the voice you pick. It’s made from your page information, and plays on your page once you publish, unless you switch it off. If you edit it by describing a change, we send that request to our AI with the script.
- Your headshot: the photo you add during setup, or one you upload later in your dashboard. It’s shown in your intro video only if you choose Headshot, and then anyone who can see your page can see it. We keep it when you use Character, so you don’t have to upload it again; deleting your account removes it.
- Your plan, boosts and credits: whether your account is on Free or Pro, how many boosts and AI credits you have, when you boosted your page to the top of Discover, and what you spent credits on and when.
- Content studio posts: what you asked for (the experience or the new work you described, the angle and any note) and the post that was written, so you can come back to it. Only you can see them; delete one any time, and deleting your account removes them all.
- Feedback you choose to send us from your dashboard.
Files we read but don’t keep: if you upload a LinkedIn profile PDF during setup, we send it to our AI provider to fill in your page, then discard it. A setup photo is also sent to draw your character, and kept as your headshot (above). Your resume PDF is kept only if you upload it to show on your page, and a headshot only if you choose to show one in your intro video.
Visits to your page: when someone opens a published page or watches one of its videos for a few seconds, we record that it happened, roughly where they came from (LinkedIn, Discover, a search engine, a direct link or another site) and whether they were on a phone or a computer. We don’t record who they are, their IP address, or use cookies for this, and your own visits aren’t counted. Pro members see these totals for their own page.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t show ads.
Who can see your page
- While your page is hidden (not published), only you can see it.
- Once you publish, anyone with your link can watch your clips and read your page, including the contact details you chose to add and a written transcript of each clip. Your page also comes as plain text, so AI tools a recruiter uses can read it. You can unpublish at any time from your dashboard menu.
- If your page is public (new accounts start public), it’s also listed in Discover once published, where anyone signed in to Elevator Pitch can search and filter pages by name, city, field and school, see your name, headline, city, field and education, watch your intro video (or your summary video if the intro is off) and open your page. Search engines and AI search tools (like Google and ChatGPT) can find and show it too. Switch Public off in your dashboard to keep your page out of Discover and search, for people with your link only.
Services we use
To run Elevator Pitch, your information is processed by a few trusted providers:
- Supabase: accounts, page information, resume PDFs, headshots and intro voiceovers.
- Mux: storing, streaming and captioning your videos.
- Anthropic (Claude): reading the resume, LinkedIn PDF and photo you upload, writing and editing your intro video, writing content studio posts from what you describe, and suggesting your field from your page. Anthropic doesn’t use this data to train its models.
- OpenAI: turning your intro video’s script into its voiceover. OpenAI doesn’t use this data to train its models.
- Vercel: hosting the website, and counting visits (pages viewed, referring site, country, device type) without cookies or tracking you across sites.
- Resend: sending account emails, like password resets.
- Stripe: payments for Pro, boosts and credit packs, if you buy them. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store them. We keep only your plan and a reference to your Stripe customer.
Deleting your data
You can delete everything at any time: in your dashboard, open the menu (your initials, top right), choose Account & password, then Delete my account. This permanently removes your account, page, resume entries, PDF, intro video and all your clips. It can’t be undone. If you’re on Pro, cancel your plan first from Manage plan on the same screen.
To delete a single video, use the trash icon next to it in your dashboard. To take your page offline without deleting anything, turn off Published under Share.
